|Fontainebleau band featured on local New Orleans TV news (8/1/2016)
The Fontainebleau HS band, New Orleans, LA, was recently featured on WDSU-TV for the impromptu playing they did for four Sheriff, Police and Fire stations during their band camp in July.
|11th Hour from KFHS selected for ACDA National in 2017! (6/23/2016)
Congratulations to the Kettering Fairmont High School 11th Hour vocal group on being selected to perform at the ACDA National Conference in Minneapolis 2017. this group has performed at ACDA National before, and was featured on the NBC show The Sing Off, which launched the world-wide careers of some other famous Charms students!! |Kerry Bryant wins GMEA Educator of the Year Award (3/2/2016)
Sincere congratulations goes out to longtime Charms user Kerry Bryant, of Adairsville HS in Georgia, for receiving the 2016 GMEA Music Educator of the Year award!!! Kerry has taught for 26 years, and is a great example of a successful Charms user! He says that "Charms is vital to our program, and is, indeed, "undowithoutable!"

|Alabama student finalist in Marine Band Concerto Competition (2/9/2016)
Congratulations to ABA Past-President, Rusty Courson, the Smiths Station Band program and Camron Bryant, a senior French Horn player from Smiths Station! Camron is one of seven finalists from throughout the United States in the Presidents Own United States Marine Band Concerto Competition, which will take place this Saturday, February 13th, at 2:00 PM ET/1:00 PM CT.
The finals competition will be in a recital format open to the public,
which will also be live-streamed through the
Marine Band website at www.marineband.marines.mil.
Throughout his high school career, Camron has made ABA All-State Band
four times (Red Band three times), ABA Jazz Band twice,
AOA Orchestra twice, and AVA All-State Choir once. He also won the
inaugural solo contest at the SEUS Honor Band at Troy last year.
